Today is 1st March and in my optimistic, green-fingered world, that means the first day of Spring – Yay!!
Okay, so the weather isn’t exactly great what with showers forecast for the majority of the morning and another cold snap to look forward to over the next couple of days, but just down to the fact that we are finally in March has cheered me up no end. The fact that the sun is now rising at 06:54 and setting at 17:50 here, the days are also starting to feel long enough to actually achieve things outside 🙂
The polytunnel is bursting into life and a lot of the plants that have been stored in pots outside for the winter are also showing signs that something wonderful is going to happen.
So, what have I been up to? Well, first some more sowing:
I have actually managed to get some new varieties in, as well as some more successional sowings of ones I have already mentioned. Here are the new varieties 🙂
