Wendy’s Order

Apologies for not posting sooner, but I have been a bit busy potting up plants!

I had mentioned previously, that my Mum’s neighbour, Wendy has decided to completely re-vamp her front garden and it was entirely my fault!  Well, included in the delivery of plants that I received earlier in the week were the plants that I had ordered for her, and thought it would be nice for you all to see what her garden looks like and what plants she has chosen to go in it.

She has decided on a “hot” theme and some of the plants she has chosen are simply gorgeous.

Due to the fact she has little room to store anything, I have agreed to pot up the plants and care for them until they are ‘garden ready’.

So, after weeks of stripping her front garden to remove literally every single plant which was once there (all safely tucked up for overwintering in pots), her garden now looks like this:

Wendy's Garden 030216Wendy's Garden 0302162

As you can see, there are 2 main areas, the first is the circle in the middle and the second is the area containing a pond.

So, on opening the boxes I decided to start on Wendy’s plants first.  In all, from the varieties she had chosen, there were 125 plants to pot up.  There are a couple of varieties where she only wants part of the minimum order and so I will keep the rest to either sell or put in my own garden 🙂

Well, what did she order???

ECHINACEA ‘Hot Papaya’

ASTRANTIA ‘Venice’

HELENIUM ‘Double Trouble’

LEUCANTHEMUM ‘Fiona Coghill’

PAPAVER ‘Miss Piggy’

HEUCHERA ‘Amber Waves’

AQUILEGIA ‘Black Barlow’

GAILLARDIA aristata ‘Kobold’

DAHLIA ‘Valentin’

HEMEROCALLIS ‘Highland Lord’

EUPHORBIA ‘Fireglow’

VERBENA ‘Bonariensis’

GEUM ‘Mrs Bradshaw’

DAHLIA ‘Art Deco’

Gorgeous, aren’t they?!  Will keep you posted on plant development and planting!!  Can’t wait!!!!

  1. How interesting. I hope you have time to show us the planting and the flowering of this garden. You are right, there are some lovely plants. What is the shrub near the pond?
